We specialise in offering purely the iconic Bedford Bambi Motor Home. Nicknamed the "Tardis" by affectionados these unique campervans provide the perfect getaway "home from home" adventure for couples and one child family's.
Only 1500 of these unique classic campervans were ever produced and much loved by those few that managed to get hold of one ( less than 300 left worldwide !!! ). We aim to give our customers that unique opportunity to experience a truely retro comfortable touring and camping holiday. Bambi offers the freedom to comfortably explore the unique beauty of Englands green and pleasant land at any of Uk's plentiful campsites or off the beaten track. See our links page for some venues
Ideal for up to 2 fishermen to get away from it all and seek out those unique "off the beaten track" riverside and coastal "swims" for a weekend or more. When fishing its fantastic to know that you have a snug warm and comfortable home from home to retire to when it gets too cold cast anymore or it starts to bucket down and you need a fresh brew or fry up!? Ample room to take all your freshwater and sea angling match gear to fish both venues in one outing... Tight lines !!!
No need for pitching tents, unloading equipment or struggling to come to grips with an oversized "monster" motorhome. The Bambi campervan is easy to drive with a footprint smaller than most cars yet comes with a "king" sized bed fit for royalty & a full height gallery kitchen ! Purrfeck !!!
Availability
You can book your getaway for periods of one week or weekend. Week bookings are Friday after 13:30hrs to Friday 11:30hrs. Weekends are from Friday 17:00hrs to Monday 11:30Hrs
Location
Kingston upon Thames pick up point is an ideal location from which to start your journey. Close to the A3 and directly south of Central London, all the major arterial routeways of M3, M4, N & S Circular and M25 are at hand. Overland Train station is only 5 minutes walk away. The south coast is only 60 miles away and with the rolling North and South Downs virtually at our doorstep there are many A & B country routes to explore.
Driveability
Compact design makes these motorhomes a delight to drive, easy to park with added advantage of being able to navigate those small country lanes. Your Bambi will happily cruise at around 50 mph in 5th gear so relax and enjoy her leisurely pace at an economical 35 - 40 mpg !!
Accommodation
Sleeping quarters are perfect for couple or single child family offering 2 single beds or one huge double plus childs bunk quarters. Daytime lounge provides ample seating for 4 around generous table for dining and entertaining.
Galley
Uniquely for campervans the beloved Bambi's offers a full height standing kitchen galley fully equipped with stove, sink and fridge.
Green
Due to the small engine size of our Bambi's they produce a very low carbon emission footprint and on an average round trip of 200 - 300 miles you will produce only 0.1 - 0.2 tonnes of Co2.
