BAMBI HIRE

To secure your booking a non refundable booking deposit of £150 per vehicle is payable at the time of making a reservation with the balance of your total booking fee payable 28 days prior to your camper holiday.  A confirmation of booking will be posted or emailed to you together with an invoice in respect of the rest of the balance of the hire charge. The full amount is due 28 days prior to commencement of your Bambihire holiday and your booking is at risk if these funds are not cleared prior to this date. We reserve the right to rent the Bambi campervan elsewhere in the event that cleared funds are not recieved within 28 days of hire commencement date.

For a hire with Bambihire a £500.00 credit card or cash excess charge security deposit will be payable by you prior to releasing the vehicle. The security deposit will be refunded at the end of your hire period provided that the vehicle is returned on time in a clean, complete and undamaged state. Should any damages exceed the security deposit the hirer will be responsible to settle the additional costs, similarly if the damages do not exceed the security deposit Bambihire will only charge for the necessary amount. A charge will be made to you for any vehicles that are returned late or damaged. If vehicles are returned past the date and specified time, hirer's render themselves liable to overtime charges of £25.00 an hour which will be deducted from the security deposit.

In order to hire one of our vehicles you must be between the ages of 25 - 70 years old. Please note for drivers with an overseas licence and additional drivers, there is an additional insurance charge of approx £4.00 per day due to our insurer's Terms & Conditions. If you have convicted motoring offences we cannot insure you.

All hirers must be in possession of a valid driving licence. Proof of identification plus photo identity will need to be produced at least 7 days prior to commencement of hire with original drivers licence including the paper counterpart with UK Licences. A second proof of address is also required i.e. recent utility bill.

All drivers must be present at time of hire. Vehicle insurance cover provided is Fully Comprehensive the excess on each vehicle is £1000.00, the insurance company require us to take your credit card details as security for the excess. You  will only be charged in the event of an accident.

Each hirer MUST have thier own individual travel / holiday insurance and excess hire insurance. Documentation must be presented 7 days prior to release of the Bambi. In order to avoid any doubt our insurance covers the vehicle only during the hire period.

whilst we fully understand that there are smokers and do not wish to discriminate against them Bambihire operate a strictly enforced NO SMOKING policy in all vehicles. For those that smoke please do this outside the Bambi

Absolutely NO pets permitted. In the event that evidence of pet being present is discovered a complusory £500 fine will be imposed without exception. Sorry pet lovers but they have caused too much damage in the past.

Every effort is made by Bambihire to ensure the vehicle is in a safe and roadworthy condition prior to each and every hire. Therefore Bambihire absolves itself of any responsibility for hotel or any other consequential expenses subsequent to a breakdown. The hirer fully undertands this and accepts the same.

Due to the nature and age of the vehicles, both parties fully understand that the vehicle rented from Bambihire has a significantly greater chance of breakdown than a new vehicle.

Bambihire shall be under no liability for any third party claims or damages in connection with or consequent upon any accident or breakdown.

In the event of a breakdown or accident Bambihire will make its best effort to be at the disposal of the hirer during reasonable daytime hours between 09:30hrs to 17:00hrs. Prior approval must be obtained from Bambihire and its insurers in respect of repairs and replacements.

The maximum height of your vehicle is clearly stated ( 2.8 meters or 10 feet ), Avoid any bridges below these heights. Any overhead damage is the responsibility of the hirer. The tyres including punctures and damage to the window screens are the hirer's responsibility. Any callout charges incurred by the hirer ( for example for flat batteries, wrong fuel, lost keys etc) through the fault of themselves will be the responsibility of the hirer.

A half tank of petrol fuel ( 10 litres ) will be provided with the vehicle at the start of hire and the hirer is expected to return the vehicle with a half tank of fuel. Full tank not provided as more economic to fill half tank at a time. Fuel will be charged at £10 if the vehicle is brought back not half full. Please note the hirer will be liable if the incorrect fuel is used. It is the hirer's responsibility to ensure that oil and water levels & tyres are checked on a daily basis.

2 gas cylinders are supplied with one being full and the second being in a "used condition". Upon return if one gas cylinder is empty a £10 charge will be made.  

Collection time for the vehicle is between 15:00hrs and 18:00hrs on the start day of your hire. Vehicle is to be returned on last day of hire at latest 12.00hrs unless otherwise stated or agreed prior to departure. A £35 per hour charge will be made for vehicles returned later than 12:00hrs.

Car may be parked on road nearby but is not secured parking and vehicles are left at customers own risk.
